Samsung Galaxy Note 9 seen Spotted with uunder display finger print sensor

Major tech giants, Apple and Samsung, both missed the bus in successfully integrating an under-display fingerprint sensor this year. This is the reason why we have such an awkwardly placed fingerprint sensor on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 and possibly why Apple ditched it all together, well, because there’s no excuse for poor design in Jony Ive’s books. However, this could all change next year as we’re already hearing plenty of rumours that 2018 flagship phones will sport an under-display fingerprint sensor, the latest of which points to the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Another report tips some of the features of the Samsung Galaxy S9.

Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst with KGI Securities, is doing what he does best once again and has now stated that Samsung’s next Note flagship may have such an “under-display optical fingerprint” technology when it launches in the second half of 2018. This was also reported back in August this year through another report from KGI Securities. With smartphones slowly ditching bezels altogether, this would be the ideal solution if manufacturers were to continue using fingerprint sensors for authentication.

However, it appears to be a little more trickier to implement than it seems and companies have been trying to take a crack at this for a while now, in the hopes to achieve a formula that the industry adopts. Last May, LG developed a fingerprint sensor that sits under the display and this year, at MWC Shanghai, Vivo unveiled the first smartphone with a under-display fingerprint sensor based on the technology developed by Qualcomm.

The new reports states that there are three companies vying to be the supplier to Samsung, of which, BeyondEyes and Samsung LSI have already reported to have shipped samples to Samsung. Egis is another company in the running, who currently supplies fingerprint sensors for Samsung’s phones. Kuo believes that the under-display sensor might just be a stop-gap till Android OEMs can figure out how to match or exceed Apple’s Face ID implementation on the iPhone X.

With rumours coming in hot for the Galaxy Note 9, let’s not forget Samsung’s bread-and-butter flagships, the Galaxy S-Series. SamMobile has now reported that the Samsung Galaxy S9 will one again come in two flavours, the model numbers of which have been reported to be SM-G960 for the Galaxy S9 and SM-G965 for the Galaxy S9+. Both smartphones will feature curved displays, just like the S8 series, and are also expected to inherit the Galaxy Note 8’s dual camera setup . The report further states that Samsung might launch a brand new Galaxy X, as a sort of a ‘one more thing’, which is tipped to ‘fold-out’ to a size of a tablet. While the other rumours seem likely to happen, we suggest taking the news about the Galaxy X with a pinch of slat, at least for now.

Another leaked Photos of Xiomi Note 5 Shows Bezel

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has been in t­­he news since January this year, and can be expected to launch soon. From US FCC listings to leaked specifications and retail boxes, the smartphone has been leaked in a variety of ways. Now, the latest leak features live images of the smartphone, and points to an 18:9 display with minimal bezels on all sides, a dual rear camera setup, as well as a rear fingerprint sensor, apart from a metallic body.
Shared by a Weibo user, the live images purported to be of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 show a smartphone with a grey metallic body. Looking at the front panel, we can see minimal bezels on all sides. The top bezel is especially thin, despite containing the front camera and earpiece. There is virtually no bezel at the bottom, and, no home button either. The bezel-less display is expected give the smartphone a display aspect ratio of 18:9, as seen in several recent handsets including the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, with a 5.5-inch size.



On the rear panel, the purported Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 live photos show a vertical dual rear camera setup, with the fingerprint sensor below it – the obvious new location after removing the home button. Not much else can be seen. The GSMArena report citing the Weibo post also claims the pricing for the smartphone – the 3GB RAM/ 16GB storage variant is said to be priced at CNY 999, the 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant is said to be priced at CNY 1,299, while the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant is said to be priced at CNY 1,699.

As for specifications, the report claims the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will be powered by a Snapdragon 660 or MediaTek Helio P25 SoC, sport 16-megapixel and 5-megapixel rear camera sensors, and be powered by a 4000mAh battery.

Check How to send images on whatsApp without compression

WhatsApp is the world’s most popular instant messaging service that people across the world use, to stay in touch with family, friends and relatives. There are plenty of features that this messaging platform has to offer, like the ability to send pictures, videos, GIFs, audio files, contacts and even voice notes. However, there’s one department where WhatsApp has been receiving criticism over the years, and that’s image compression. That’s right, WhatsApp has always been known to compress the image files that are sent over the instant messaging platform, thereby reducing the image quality by a significant margin. Although we do realize that its done to fasten up the file transfer, not everyone prefers speed over quality. So, are you interested in sending the full image file without any compression and sacrifice on image quality? Well, without further ado, let’s take a look at how to send pictures without compression on WhatsApp:

            Send Full Resolution Photos on WhatsApp in Android and iPhone

Note: I’ve tried this method on the Xiaomi Mi Mix, as well as the iPhone 7 Plus. Although we’ve only demonstrated the steps for an Android device, the procedure is pretty much identical for an iPhone, and it works flawlessly on both these devices.

Usually when we’re in the middle of a WhatsApp conversation and want to send a picture, we simply try to attach the photo. However, that’s not quite the case here. Simply follow the steps below to get this done within seconds:

Firstly, open up WhatsApp on your phone and tap on the “paperclip” icon to attach the picture that you want to send. Well, we’re not going to use the gallery to attach the photo. Instead, we’ll be attaching it as a document. So, simply tap on “Document” and then select the option to “Browse other docs…”.

Now, since the pictures that you’re going to send are usually located in the Gallery, you’ll have to browse the folder where you have your photos and select the specific photo. Once you’ve found it, tap “OK”.

You’ll now be prompted to send the picture to the specific contact. Once you’ve sent it, you can check if the image has been compressed or not by checking the file’s detailed info, as shown in the picture below.

Well, that’s pretty much the whole process. Instead of sending it as a photo, we’re sending the image file as a document, in order to prevent WhatsApp from compressing it. You’ll notice that if you send the picture as a document, you won’t get the image preview like you normally would, when you try to send a photo over WhatsApp.
