Samsung Foldable smartphones are soon going to be a reality. A new report says that the Samsung smartphone (model no- SM-G888N0) has got its certification from the National Radio Research Agency (NRRA), South Korea. It is said that the handset when unveiled, may be named as Samsung Galaxy X.
Since a long time we have been hearing that the Korean Company has been working on the Galaxy X1 and Galaxy X1 Plus foldable smartphones. According to some sources, the foldable smartphones will be launched in 2019.
Earlier Koh Dong-Jin, President of the mobile business at Samsung Electronics, had stated that they are planning to release a smartphone with bendable display in 2018. He had also said that the foldable smartphone will be launched under the ‘Galaxy Note’ brand.
The Galaxy X is predicted to feature a “flexible” or “secondary” display. Rumors say that the secondary display will turn on when the handset will be folded. The bendable section will be right at the center of the device, which will allow users to hold the smartphone like a flip phone. The physical home button will be placed on the front of Galaxy X.
The foldable smartphone will be launched in two variants- Galaxy X and Galaxy X1, under a codename ‘Project Valley’. However, nothing has been yet confirmed by the company yet.
