HMD Global is striving hard to manufacture
affordable quality smartphones. With the era where smartphones are shipping in with four camera sensors, the Finnish company has taken a step ahead with five camera sensors. This is according to the Chinese source Baidu that says future Nokia flagships will have seven camera holes. Five of them are for camera lenses and two are for the LED flash. However, it is not clearly mentioned as how these five sensors will be placed. But if we guess, then there could be three sensors on the rear end and two sensors for the front camera.
Nokia is trying to implement the round OZO camera technology to its smartphones. The upcoming Nokia 9 is rumored to feature four camera lens so the futuristic handset will be gaining more. Irrespective of the model and design, it is sure that the next flagship can feature five camera lens.
The same source also reveals that the Nokia flagship will have Snapdragon 845 chip set. The chip set which powers most of the high-end smartphones. Nokia is further planning to tie-up with Windows phone 8 powered Lumia 1020 which is capable of capturing 41MP images. The upcoming device may have the similar protrusion with more lenses along with a dual-tone flash.
There is no information of when these five-camera lenses will be available. But if HMD Global starts its production then probably we can have its first look in the second quarter of 2018. until then we would better take this rumor with a pinch of salt.
