LG and Samsung Confirms Not Slowing Down Over Degraded Batteries

Yesterday, we have seen Motorola and HTC
confirming the fact that they do not slow down the performance with its old batteries. Now, even LG and Samsung joined this list and say that they never follow this kind of practice.
Here is what LG says responding to the controversy “Never have, never will! We care what our customers think”
And here is what Samsung says “Product quality has been and will always be Samsung Mobile’s top priority. We ensure an extended battery life of Samsung mobile devices through multi-layer safety measures, which include software algorithms that govern the battery charging current and charging duration. We do not reduce CPU performance through software updates over the lifecycles of the phone”
After the top Android companies confirming that they do not follow such practice, it is not easy for Apple to handle this controversy. However, there could be several reasons for Android Smartphone to slow down. But it is good to learn that they do not do it intentionally as Apple does.
Apple stated that its main goal is to prevent an unexpected shutdown of the aged Phones as battery degrades. Though for a good intention, it has overstepped it’s bound by not communicating the same to its customers before implementing.

With the increased Allegations on Apple towards this issue, the company has already apologized. It is giving the users huge discounts on battery repairs or replacement. Furthermore, it is still not confirmed whether battery replacement improves the performance of iPhone. Apple further says that it will release a new OS in January 2018 that gives easy access to the battery health information.
However, if you are an Android user and thinking that you don’t have to face the battery degradation problems. Then you are wrong. The fact is the battery technology is same on both iPhone and Android. Therefore even Android devices are prone to battery degradation problems.
Huawei is the only company that made it clear of how it manages the battery draining problems. With the EMUI 5.0 interface, it learns the usage of phone and allocates the resources accordingly. The interface holds new processes for memory management and speeds up the device. Huawei guarantees that with this EMUI 5.0, the performance level remains the same even after 18 months of use.
