The budget smartphone, Nokia 5from HMD Global
survives the scratch, bend and burn test. You heard it right! The Nokia 5 that made its debut at MWC 2017, recently had an extensive durability test.
Nokia was always known for its durability and this time it proves it again with the latest phone Nokia 5. The test is performed by Zack from YouTube channel JerryRigEverything. He offers a video that shows the resistance of the mid-range smartphone Nokia 5.
Nokia 5 Specs :
Before looking into the durability test, let us have a quick recap of Nokia 5 specs. The Nokia 5 sports 5.2 inches display with 720 X1280 screen resolution. It runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS and performs well with Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC processor. It houses the 13MP rear camera and 8MP selfie shooter.
Nokia 5 Screen Scratch Test :
So, from the JerryRigEverything video, we understand that the test started off with scratch resistance test and took a Mohs scale to rate the durability. With the support of Gorilla glass screen protection, the Nokia 5 stands at level 6 on Mohs scale. This level is almost similar to high-end smartphones.
Apart from this, even the camera and flash are protected by a tough glass material thus making it resistant to scratches.
JerryRigEverything explaining this feature says "alone is reason enough to spend a bit more money and jump up to the Nokia 5."
Moving further, Nokia 5 was put to burn test. When the device is exposed to the lighter flame, it started to burn only after 10 seconds. The test was conducted with the display set to maximum brightness.
Apart from this, the latest device goes through the bend test. It even passed this test with flying colours, which affirms the hardware durability.
Though it is a mid-range smartphone, it comes with a metal body giving it a classy look as the high-end smartphone. Apart from this, the level of resistance it is offering makes the Nokia 5 in UAE stand over all the expensive smartphones.
