Following the success of Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro, the Chinese firm is all
set to launch the next flagship which can be Huawei P11/P20. Along with the standard version, it is yet to launch even the Plus and lite variants.
While it is likely that Huawei will miss out MWC 2018 and will organize a separate event in Paris on March 27 to launch the trio of Huawei’s smartphones. Here, let us take a tour of the rumors surrounding Huawei flagship which includes release date, price, specs, and features.
Release Date and Price
According to the Huawei’s VP for Handset products online, Bruce Lee, the company will launch its all futuristic smartphones at Mobile World Congress. Furthermore, Huawei has already sent invites for the press event for MWC event on February 25. Following this announcement, we can understand that Huawei is about to announce the alleged Huawei P20 at this show.
While there are rumors rolling around saying that Huawei will skip the event and many unveil the handset later on March 27. Rumors even suggest the launch of Huawei P20 Plus and Huawei P20 Lite. As for the price, there is no clear information. But we can expect to see a price drop for the upcoming version.
Design, Rumors, and Specs
Logically, the Huawei P10’s successor should be named as Huawei P11. But the recent evidence shows that it can be called as Huawei P20. The popular Twitter Leaker, Roland Quandt gave the details of Huawei P20, P20 Plus, and P20 lite. The leaked image of the alleged Huawei P20 shows that the device may pack in a three-lens camera with a dual-LED flash. It is further rumored to have a glass back with a metal frame.
From the recent leak, we can see the flagship Huawei P20 having 40MP triple-lens camera setup. It further features a 5X hybrid zoom along with a 24MP front snapper. The official invites for the launch hints that the camera app may use AI thus enhancing the processing power.
This device which was also rumored to be Huawei P11 may ship in with 5.8-inches IPS display of 1440 X 2960 screen resolution. Other rumored specs include 3GHz Kirin 970 octa-core processor accompanied by 6GB of RAM, 64GB of onboard storage and a non-removable 3200mAh battery.
The handset may further have the most popular iPhone X like face ID and may ditch the Touch ID fingerprint scanner. A new report suggests that the device will have their own style of Face ID technology. It is inspired by the Apple’s TrueDepth camera sensors. So, probably we can expect a more advanced version of Face ID.
